Lisa Jacobs is a journalism student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. She is set to graduate in Spring 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts.

She now writes for LMU's student-run publication, The Lion, and is vice president of the university's Society of Professional Journalists. She is trilingual, speaking English, Spanish and Dutch, and has more than four years of experience with professional photography and editing. She particularly enjoys film and digital photography, and is drawn to socio-political topics in her work.

Lisa was born in Sherwood, Oregon and spent her first two undergraduate years at University of Oregon. She spent 10 months of those years studying abroad in Europe and Latin America, during which she became proficient in Spanish. In 2024, she transferred to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and has since published various photo and investigative works.
